Our Suppliers

We buy produce that is organic and locally produced whenever possible.  We like to support local businesses and are constantly trying new products and ideas to ensure that our guests have the very best experience.  Below are details of some of the suppliers we use most frequently.  We shop daily to ensure freshness and buy only in small amounts.

Coffee

Our  regular coffee is made from “The Ultimate Buzz” whole coffee beans that come from Hogan Brothers, a micro-roast coffee business based in Framingham, MA.  We also have their decaffeinated coffee beans for anyone wanting a slower start to their day.  The company was founded in 1996, by two brothers Jay and Jim Hogan, who share a passion for excellent coffees, and who developed recipes, blends and roasting procedures, which they believed significantly improved on many existing coffee offerings. www.hoganbrotherscoffee.com

Bacon

Our bacon comes from Vermont Smoke and Cure in South Barre, Vermont.  Vermont Maple Syrup, a modest amount of salt, then a slow smoke over ground corn cobs and maple wood shavings make for the best bacon we have ever tasted – and our guests agree.  www.vtsmokeandcure.com

Eggs

The Country Hen based in Hubbardston, MA keep their chickens in spacious sun lit barns and feed them certified organic feed high in Omega-3s.  The resulting eggs are delicious. www.countryhen.com

Sausages

Our pork chipolata sausages come from Idylwilde Farm in Acton, MA. www.idylwildefarm.com

Fruit and Vegetables

We get all of our fruit and vegetables from Idylwilde Farm and other farms located in and around Stow.

Bread

Our bread comes from Jessica’s Brick Oven in Woburn, MA.  We most often serve the French Pullman white loaf and the Pullman Whole Grain with Flax.  www.jessicasbrickoven.com

Chocolates

The chocolates in the rooms come from Colonial Candies of Bolton, MA.  Run by Grace Hebert of the Hebert Candies family.  Their ice cream parlor and candy shop is well worth a visit – located at the Rte 495 & Rte117 interchange. www.colonialcandies.com

Beer

In addition to their wines, the Nashoba Valley Winery also produces an excellent range of crafted beers, examples of which are usually found in the Sitting Room refrigerator.  We also sometimes stock their wines.   The winery is an excellent place to visit with winery tours, fruit picking, an excellent restaurant and a beautiful setting - just a short drive from Amerscot House.  www.nashobawinery.com

Toiletries

Our toiletries are especially selected from Gilchrist & Soames, founded in London, England. www.gilchristsoames.com
